Matt Dobbin, founding Director of Atticus, has spent 20 happy years in research, working across not for profit and commercial sectors, including SMEs, Bluechip and government agencies.
Matt is a strong believer that research and consultation should be engaging and interactive – both for respondents and clients. He is dedicated to the use of innovative and creative methods and techniques to gain genuine insight and reveal those glorious moments of truth about people, their motivations, and relationships with the product and services in their lives.
Matt is is very active within the research industry. He was short-listed for the MRS Social Research / Public Policy effectiveness award in 2010 for his work with Norfolk County Council; he is a regular course tutor for the Association of Qualitative Researchers, including on the Behavioral Economics Masterclass, and the Moderating Skills Course (2010-19). He is a regular speaker at industry events about the benefits of synergising behavioural economics with market research and runs training courses for clients and research agencies on the subject.
